Ministry: In the last twenty-four years of ministry, The Lighthouse church was established. Wendell is the pastor of the church. The goal of The Lighthouse is to be a community of committed followers of Jesus with First Nations people and friends welcomed and involved. We hold a kids Bible Club on Garden River each summer and look for other ways to serve our First Nations community members.
We have five children. One lives in Timmins, Ontario, one in Columbus, Ohio, and the others are here in Sault Ste. Marie. Our youngest daughter is still at home with us. We have three grandchildren and are excited about two more coming!

It’s already the second month of a new year! A new year, with new possibilities as we seek to follow where God leads.
Valentine's Day is a bright spot in the middle of the cold month of February. (And this year has been particularly cold it seems!) We are preparing for a dinner and an evening of fun for all the adults at The Lighthouse. We hope this will be a time of encouragement for everyone.
There has been so much interest in the “Creation to Christ” Bible studies. The men’s group finished up their study and started at the beginning again for the guys that joined midway through. A couple newcomers joined the women’s Bible study that Lila leads. They’ve decided to meet weekly now instead of every two weeks. Our daughter, Kristen, is leading a third group for two younger women on Wednesday evenings. 
We are still praying about First Nations in leadership at The Lighthouse. Kevin Moore traveled to speak on Sunday again this past weekend, but it would be a real benefit to have someone here full time.
We appreciate your prayers for our family. We are especially concerned about our grandson, Joshua, who is not living with his mother right now. He is usually with us on weekends. It does make our weekends busy keeping up with a toddler! Pray for Joshua to have good care, and ultimately for our daughter, Alisha, to be able to do all that is needed for her son.
