Get connected and grow together in Christ
"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21
Small groups meet once a week for 1 1/2 to 2 hours in homes across the city or online. Groups of 10 meet to study God's Word, pray and grow together in community.
The fall session runs from October to early December and then breaks for Christmas. The winter session starts up mid-January and runs through to early May. If you are interested in hosting a small group in your home, please contact Andrew & Jennifer Sarlo or contact us.
Small Group Discussion Questions for 1 John 2:28-3:10, February 15, 2026
- Read the passage (1 John 2:28-3:10) together. Do you have any questions or comments? What stands out to you? Do you have any comments or questions from Sunday’s sermon?
- Nicholas made the claim that knowledge comes before action in the bible. What are some examples of truth claims made by John in this passage? What might go wrong if the Christian life were the other way around?
- 1 John 3:1 outlines the tension a child of God should feel with the world around them. In what ways does this tension show up in your life? What is our comfort in these things from the verse?
- Encourage one another: What are some ways you have seen the members of your small group “practice righteousness?”
- Confess to one another: In what ways are you “practicing sin” and how can your small group pray for you and help you cling to the promise of 1 John 3:9?
- What kind if deceptions is John concerned about in 1 John 3:7? How can we help each other avoid being deceived?
